Rituals at Bride’s Home before Marriage: Kamma marriage procedure

Home will be decorated in a grand. Readymade decoration stands are available for good photos.
Relatives and Guests (Women) apply oil to the Bride’s hair followed by applying Sandal paste on Bride’s cheeks.
The bride will be offering Thambulam (Betel leaves with Nuts and Fruit)
In the end, Mangalasnanam will be performed to the Bride.
Mangalasnanam (Holy bath), water will be mixed with turmeric, flowers, rose petals, Rosewater, Sandal paste etc.
Now the Girl is not allowed to step out of the home alone.

Relatives and Guests (Women) apply oil to the Groom’s hair followed by applying Sandal paste on Groom’s cheeks.
The Groom will be offering Thambulam (Betel leaves with Nuts and Fruit) to the guests/ relatives seeking their blessings.
In the end, Mangalasnanam will be performed to the Groom.
Mangalasnanam (Holy bath), water will be mixed with turmeric, flowers, rose petals, Rosewater, Sandal paste etc.
Now the Boy is not allowed to step out of the home alone.

Bride along with their relatives and guests reach the function hall much early.
Bride’s relatives welcome the Groom and their relatives at the entrance.
Reception begins as soon as they reach the stage.
After Reception and Dinner, most of the guests take off.
Bride’s Sangyam will be performed by the Groom’s relatives and vice-versa.
After Sangyam, both are allowed to take the head bath quickly.
On reaching the Kalyana Mandapam, marriage rituals begin on performing Ganapathi Pooja.
Kanyadanam will be performed by the Bride’s parents on washing Groom’s feet.
Followed by placing Jeelakarra Bellam mix on each other’s head at the auspicious time.
Mangalyadharana, tieing 3 knots will be performed by the Groom.
Saptapadi, Now the couple is allowed to go around the holy fire for 7 steps.
Appaginthalu, Handing over Bride to Grooms’ home on behalf of the relatives.
