Tirupati Temple Marriage Booking Procedure, Cost, and Hall Charges

Marriage Halls are located behind the main temple and at the Vaikuntam-I entrance. Group marriages are performed at Kalyanavedika. As the Kalyanotsavam is performed daily to the main deity so the marriage can be performed irrespective of the Muhurtham date and time. It is believed that the couple who gets married in Tirumala will be blessed with good fortune.

Procedure for Marriage Booking at Tirupati Temple

  • Only Hindu arranged marriages are allowed at Tirumala
  • The Bride must be 18 years and above.
  • The Groom must be 21 years and above.
  • Intercaste marriages are allowed as long as it is arranged Hindu marriage
  • Parents/ Guardians must be available for the marriage
  • Love marriage with parents acceptance are allowed in Tirumala
  • The bride and groom’s Aadhar card photocopies and 10th mark sheet, SSLC mark sheet, and date of birth certificate photocopies are required.
  • Bride parents and Groom parents Aadhar Cards photocopies required
  • In the case of parents absence, a Parent’s Death certificate can be produced for marriage booking.
  • For Group (Samuhika) Marriage, One-day advance document verification required
  • For Hall Marriages, All documents have to be submitted well in advance
  • Usually, Hall booking opens 3 months in advance. Please note that there is no online booking for marriage halls.
  • Group marriages are performed for a group of couples at once. The Devasthanam will only allot Purohit. The marriage party itself must purchase the puja items.
  • Marriage Hall and Rooms will be allotted from 3 pm to 3 pm.
  • A maximum number of people are allowed to stay in a room.

Marriage Registration Certificate Procedure in Tirumala

Devasthanam will not issue any marriage certificates as such. Marriage registration has to be performed at the government office located at SMC Tirumala. The Devasthanam will issue a receipt that is valid for marriage registration. The registration process might take 30 to 45 minutes depending on the crowd.

Documents required for the marriage certificate

  • Bride and Groom’s Aadhar Cards photocopies, 10th mark sheet or Date of birth certificate or Passport Photocopies
  • Bride parents and Groom parent’s Aadhar Cards photocopies and Death Certificate photocopies (as applicable)
  • Wedding Invitation Card
  • Letter from the trust stating marriage details
  • Three witnesses along with their Aadhar Cards Photocopies

Tirupati Balaji Temple Marriage Advance Booking

All marriages are performed outside of the main deity. No marriage is allowed inside the temple under any circumstances. Usually, the marriage and Lord Balaji’s darshan take place outside of the temple. The newlywed couple can have Darshan in the wedding dress itself. Marriage halls are of different capacities and vary from 50 to 500 members in capacity. 3 to 6 months of booking is advisable for big halls.

    Is it necessary to book atleast 3 months before ??
    We want to get married in March or April. Muhurtam need to be fixed yet.
